Spanning over 50 years, these galleries represent a sampling of Helen Redman's lifetime in the arts. Portraits, of both herself and others, have been central to her work since the 1960's. Several series have unfolded in response to various environments. The Moroccan Women was created between 1971-1972, while living in Casablanca. The Mediatypes of the Sexes, from 1975-80, reflects early feminist art, satirizing mass media and gender roles. Parables of So Cal, 1985-90, and Fitness Scrolls, 1991-92 chronicle Redman's move to San Diego in 1984.
